07.09.23 - G's on Sunday x MAKINA x Leen Customs Grille Badge

Originally stretching less than a mile from Glenarm to Fair Oaks, the Arroyo Seco Parkway officially opened to traffic on December 10 1938. As the years passed and more road was built, the highway continued its reach towards downtown Los Angeles and was officially completed in January of 1941.

Though many commute on this route daily, its beauty and details are often missed in the day to day mayhem that is Los Angeles traffic. From the historical signage, Art Deco Figueroa Street Tunnels, and its 18 Parisian style overpasses, the beautiful chicane of the Arroyo is only overshadowed by its immense presence in history as the first freeway in America.

Hosted by Makina and G’s on Sunday, this year’s Carrera Arroyo collaboration is an expression of love and appreciation for the Los Angeles Car Culture and the freeway that helped create it.

As a commemoration for this celebration, leading pin maker and artist, Leen Customs, was commissioned to create a limited edition grille badge featuring this historical route through North East Los Angeles.

Designed by Armando De La Torre Jr. this 3”x3” grille badge is made with built-in mounting hardware to fit most classic automotive grilles and are limited to only 25 pieces.

Orders will be shipped July 14
